Washing instructions for prefold diapers:

(Dry pail method)

· Toss wet diapers into diaper pail. Prior to starting solids, breastfed baby poo can just be tossed into pail and will dissolve in wash. Knock other solids into toilet first. This is where liners or sprayers come in handy!

· On wash day (every 1-3 days), empty pail into washer & run a cold rinse with no detergent. This helps to keep stains from setting.

· Run a hot wash/cold rinse. Add 1/2 of detergent manufacturer’s recommended amount.

· Place diapers in dryer on medium heat setting or hang to dry in the sun (this helps to get out any stubborn stains) then soften in the dryer for 20 minutes.

· Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
